Irish London-based music producer MANTA drops a Cocteau Twins-sampling dance track.
‘Good News’ is a 2-step garage, house and jungle-inspired track which samples the Cocteau Twins’ ‘Cherry Coloured-Funk‘ for its hook, and pairs it with breakbeats, synth bass and breakdowns.
The video was shot in London, with the locations featured representing the atmosphere of the song the Bow flats (which feature on the cover art and include Ingram House, where legendary pirate radio station Rinse FM was first broadcast from), Globe Town in East London and the Alexandra & Ainsworth Estate near Swiss Cottage.
The track will be released on vinyl and upcoming live shows from MANTA can be seen on their socials.
