The Ms. Lauryn Hill and The Fugees US tour was due to kick off August 9th in Tampa, but was cancelled three days before it was due to start.
All the US dates on the the 21-date tour have been cancelled without explanation, with refunds offered to ticket buyers on Tuesday August 6th, a full three days before the start of the tour.
Lauryn Hill was set to return to Dublin this year for an anniversary show to celebrate her seminal 1998 solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.. along with members of her original band The Fugees for a co-headline tour on October 7th 2024, which then goes on to UK and Europe.
That Dublin date is now the next one up, not cancelled after the US tour cancellations, but I wouldn’t hold your breath, though tickets are currently still on sale.
Update: Lauryn Hill has posted that the remaining dates are definitely happening, and blamed the media reporting on her cancellations last year as to why the North American dates are now cancelled.
Hill has a reputation being late on stage, cancelling shows last minute and the Fugees played one date on an ill-fated reunion tour that was then cancelled in 2021. Shows last year were cancelled due to vocal strain, but no public statement has yet been given.
