One of our favourites is going on tour in the UK and Ireland later this year.
Rachael Lavelle has announced dates across the UK in Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds Newcastle, Glasgow and more along with Irish dates in Clare, Galway, Kilkenny, West Cork and Dublin.
A Dublin headline show takes place on October 23rd at Button Factory, Dublin. Tickets are available from singularartists.ie and all other dates including upcoming festival dates at In The Meadows, Beyond The Pale, Green Man, Musictown and more are on Rachael Lavelle’s tour page.
I wrote of Lavelle’s debut album in the best of 2023 list, which was also nominated for the Choice Prize.
Big Dreams makes good on the artist’s long-standing promise, as a singular talent, with an ability to create unique liminal spaces for her off-kilter yearning compositions and engulfing vocals, that nods to forebearers like Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush and a contemporary like Weyes Blood.
