How to watch Glastonbury this weekend

Avatar

The biggest festival in the UK Glastonbury is back this weekend and the BBC as ever are broadcasting live coverage.

Clara Amfo, Lauren Laverne, Huw Stephens, Jack Saunders and Jo Whiley are among the TV presenters while you can watch five channels of performances on the BBC iPlayer, along with global free live streams of two headliners from Worthy Farm for the first time ever.

Recommendations? The lineup is extensive of course, but I’d be excited to see: LCD Soundsystem, Little Simz, Confidence Man, The Last Dinner Party, Jamie xx, Jessie Ware, Noname, Justice, Kim Gordon, Arooj Aftab, Mount Kimbie, Kara Jackson, Optimo, Charli XCX presents PartyGirl, Porij, and dozens more I won’t list for fear of making myself jealous for not being there.

Who are the Irish acts flying the flag?

Online – iPlayer

This year, the headline sets from Dua Lipa and Coldplay will be live streamed for free globally. SZA’s Sunday headline set isn’t included in the global live stream. If you want to catch them the times in BST are:

Friday 28th June – Dua Lipa – 11pm – 12.45am
Saturday 29th June – Coldplay – 10.45pm – 12.45am

You can watch those two headline sets from anywhere in the world from bbc.com/pages/glastonbury-live

For the rest of the festival, you’ll have to have UK-only access to stream each of the live channel streams on the BBC iPlayer.

With streams from the five major stages – Pyramid Stage, Other Stage, West Holts, Park Stage, Woodies and a Glasto live cam. Plus highlights channels on the iPlayer too.

Of course those outside the UK need a really good VPN to be able to watch the online coverage.

The BBC publish highlights on their BBC Music Youtube channel across the weekend also.
