Bat For Lashes – The Dream Of Delphi
London-based musician Natasha Khan’s sixth studio album features ‘At Your Feet’ which has a new music video, drawn from the album’s visual counterpart ‘The Dream Of Delphi – A New Transmission’, a 34-minute film.
‘The Dream of Delphi – A New Transmission’ is a visual narrative that accompanies the calling, the creating and birthing of a child, with an exploration of both the human rawness that surrounds that experience and the mythical and universal realisations that have occurred for Natasha during her journey of motherhood. The dance pieces include partner work that explores the pressures, bonding, and tenderness that occurs when lovers become parents, and the dances with the two women hint at Natasha’s relationship with the midwives, the best friends and the sisterhood she felt she so badly needed around the birth of her daughter.
Niamh Regan – Come As You Are
The second album from the Galway singer-songwriter, released on Faction, recorded with Tommy McLaughlin in Donegal.
“A lot of it is about being in your late twenties and kind of realising we’re all running out of time. I’d have bouts of massive self-belief in the studio, and then in the next breath I would be like, ‘This is the worst piece of music I could have even imagined.’ It was a rollercoaster. But through that I found self-acceptance; this is where I’m at and making peace with that. That’s what the album essentially is, just making peace with where I’m at and being realistic with myself.”
To celebrate the album release, Niamh will be touring across the country performing free pop-up shows in record stores and cafés:

Oh Boland – Western Leisure
The third album from the Galway garage-rock and power-pop band is released on Meritorio Records (Spain) and Safe Suburban Home (UK). It explores “the darkened corners and unseemly characters you often hear tell of in forgotten parochial towns of the past”.
Arooj Aftab – Night Reign
Pakistani-American singer, composer, and producer’s fifth album.
Richard Hawley – In This City They Call You Love
The tenth studio album by Sheffield singer-songwriter.
The Personal Vanity Project – The Personal Vanity Project
Irish trio The PVP mention Suicide, Stereolab, Sonic Youth and shoegaze as influences with the psychedelic indie rock album also set on a wayward path by the premise of a rumoured Kevin Shields Drum and Bass record, which lead to the use of drum machines, drums, synth and guitars throughout.
Graham – Facts
Dublin-based rapper and Outstraight Records artist Graham releases an 11-track collection of music with production by Hikii, and featuring Becky McNeice.
New EPs
Half Waif – Ephemeral Being EP
Nandi Rose has a five-track new EP, recorded during the winter of 2021 and into the following spring, with a theme that delves into the fleeting essence of life while exalting the enduring rhythm of nature and its interconnected cycles. This EP is the first part of a larger project by Half Waif to be released later this year.
BADBADNOTGOOD – Mid Spiral: Chaos EP
A new EP from the Toronto jazz rap instrumental band.
Of All Living Things – Cold Plunge
Dublin-based dream slowcore indie band release their second EP.
