Irish electronic jazz four piece Moondiver return with their third single ‘When U Land’.
Moondiver are a Dublin four-piece band of an electronic jazz persuasion featuring the music talents of Dylan Lynch of Soda Blonde and more (drums), live saxophonist / keyboardist Ryan Hargadon (keys/sax), Samuel Mark (bass), and Luke Howard (keys).
The band were formed in 2020 and play or have played with the likes of Kojaque, Glasshouse Ensemble, Anna Mieke, Ye Vagabonds, Rachael Lavelle, Gemma Dunleavy, Jafaris and more so it’s a veritable who’s who of players in the Irish live music scene.
‘When U Land’ is the last of a collection of three tunes released by moondiver in late 2022 and early 2023, after ‘Gretchen’ and ‘Dominoes’ .
‘When U Land’ is a track that fires off notes over a robust rhythm with drums and sax driving the near-five minute onwards, with occasional instrumental breathers and switchups. It’s an evocative track, and it’s released officially tomorrow.
