Aoife McCann has released their first song from the Æ MAK project since last year’s three-track EP featuring Kojaque.
‘Let’s Do It’ is described by McCann as “Fleet Foxes and Sylvan Esso taking mushrooms at a Summer gaff party.”
I wanted it to sound like giddy ass new love – capture that playfulness; the sparkle found in the in between of lust and love. Rolling around the sitting room on a Friday evening with someone you’re mad about; the excitement and silliness that can bring; dreaming up the relationship you could have together while also battling the insecurities and triggers that inevitably come between two people who feel very deeply about absolutely everything.”
It’s the first song off another three-track EP release ABC SIDE BABY out June 21st.

Æ MAK – ‘Let’s Do It’ Lyrics
And you can hear the cars in the background
Yes Darling, let’s do it
And we don’t have to go out tonight
We can stay right here and talk about us ‘til morning
And we don’t have to build walls to fight
For a love that yearns to fly up-sky to the light
Yes Darlin’, let’s do it
Let’s love
Just like the tune
That I’m singing for you with the moves and
I’m dancing like a fool
Yes Darlin’, get to it
Let’s love
Burn – bright – the room
And I’m singing for you with the moves
And I’m dancing like a fool
And we don’t have to play small to stay
We can grow as big as worlds apart and still spark up
And we don’t have to move mountains
To my sparkler,
I know we’ll always have rain
Baby we pour that way
And we don’t have to go out tonight
We can stay right here and talk about us ‘til morning
And we don’t have to build walls to fight
For a love that yearns to fly up-sky to the light
Yes Darlin’, let’s do it
Let’s love
Just like the tune
That I’m singing for you with the moves and
I’m dancing like a fool
Yes Darlin’, get to it
Let’s love
Burn – bright – the room
And I’m singing for you with the moves
And I’m dancing like a fool
La la la la la la la la
I can’t even sing it properly
Get up, get uuup.
