The big festival in Worthy Farm is back and we are flying the flag for music from Ireland at Glastonbury once again.
Headliners this year include SZA, Coldplay and Dua Lipa with the last two being livestreamed globally, but any Glasto veteran knows that the topline acts are usually the least interesting on the bill.
Recommendations? The lineup is extensive of course, but I’d be excited to see: LCD Soundsystem, Little Simz, Confidence Man, The Last Dinner Party, Jamie xx, Jessie Ware, Noname, Justice, Kim Gordon, Arooj Aftab, Mount Kimbie, Kara Jackson, Optimo, Charli XCX presents PartyGirl, Porij, and dozens more I won’t list for fear of making myself jealous for not being there.
On the Irish front, Kneecap, The Mary Wallopers, Lankum, Kojaque, Bicep, Fontaines D.C., NewDad, Sprints and Caleb Kunle are among those making the trip.
And for novelty factor, the internet sensation Fish56Octogan is playing three sets there, Confidence Man are hosting their DJ night Active Scenes while Daniel Avery is doing an ElectroClash set.
