Jamie xx releases new song ‘It’s So Good’

Jamie xx has marked the beginning of the year by releasing his first song since 2022.

After last year’s quiet release year that amounted to Jamie xx live headline shows at festivals like All Together Now, and 2022 singles ‘Kill Dem and ‘Let’s Do It Again’, Jamie xx has shared his new song ‘It’s So Good’, a taut dancefloor cut that soundtracks the new Coco Crush advert by Chanel.

Also recently, Jamie worked with Romy on her own solo dance pop album Mid Air, co-producing the single ‘Enjoy Your Life’ alongside Fred again.. and Stuart Price. This follows his production work on The xx’s Oliver Sim’s debut solo album Hideous Bastard.

It has also been reported that The xx are back working in the studio on the followup to 2017’s third album I See You, with Romy telling the NME

“I think Oliver and Jamie  and I have all tried new things and learned a lot from different projects and I think that’s quite healthy to be like, ‘What have you learned? What should we do now?’ And I think it’s quite wide open and it’s exciting to be starting again in a way. But we’ve started making some music and I’m really excited about it.”

 “It’s still pretty early [but] I still think you’ll be able to tell it’s us but I think we’re excited to move it on and keep it feeling fresh.”
