Here’s a rundown of new releases on DSPs and physical releases in record shops this week.


New Albums


Chelsea Wolfe – She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She

The doomy industrial sometimes alt-folk singer-songwriter’s new album is produced by Dave Sitek. Wolfe has also announced Dublin and Belfast gigs.


Driven Snow – A Kind Of Dreaming

Two-piece dreamy indie-pop music from Kieran McGuinness of Delorentos and his wife Emily (Republic of Loose and Stars On Fire) previously featured here with the song ‘Trying’. Stated influences including Neil Young, Beach House, Cat Power, Scandinavian detective shows and fireside beers.


Kelela – RAVE:N, The Remixes

20-track remix album featuring LSDXOXO, Tygapaw, Liv.e, Yaeji, Loraine James and more.


Brittany Howard – What Now

Alabama Shakes frontwoman’s second solo album since the band went on hiatus in 2018. What Now draws from soul and funk.


Paranoid London – Arseholes, Liars, and Electronic Pioneers

Dusty gritty acid electro duo of Gerardo Delgado and Quinn Whalley’s new album features Josh Caffe, Bobby Gillespie, Mutado Pintado and more.


Def Nettle – DN001

Irish musician Glen Brady (aka DJ Wool) is the vocalist and guitarist of new punk-funk band Def Nettle. The Smiths’ Andy Rourke features, along with Lisa Doyle-Taafe, Ely Siegel on bass, drummer Jay Oglesby and guest guitarist Greg Earl, Californian punk rock guitarist with the band Cement Eater. ‘War Machine’.


¥$, Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign – Vultures Volume 1

These days, a kind of morbid fascination would have you listening to this one. How far Kanye has fallen out of public consciousness in about a year. Title track.


DJ Harrison – Shades of Yesterday

The record shines a light on some of the deep cuts and beloved hits that make Devonne Harris the musician he is today, with covers of songs from Stevie Wonder to the Ohio Players and Donald Fagen.


David Hedderman – Pulling At The Briars

Ex-The Immediate musician and painter Berlin-based David Hedderman releases his debut album.
